LYNK & CO

LYNK & CO THE NEXT DAY CONCEPT: DESENHANDO O FUTURO DA MARCA

Chinese brand looks ahead to the future with its new ''GT'' concept

The Chinese brand Lynk & Co, owned by the giant Geely, currently has a line of vehicles for sale in certain European and Asian markets. Now, the brand wanted to brush up on the future of its line, more specifically in its design language.

To that end, the company has unveiled a new prototype in China, which precisely predicts the future design of the house's products and describes itself as a "new-energy four-door GT". In essence, it is a large, futuristic-style sedan.

It stands out for details such as the vertical opening doors (in addition, the suicidal rear ones) and for a front part that maintains the essence of the brand's current cars, especially thanks to the stylized vertical headlights, although the lower part of the nose is quite different.

In the side view, the prototype appears quite angular and muscular, with large wheel arches and light alloy wheels in aerodynamic design, which are quite futuristic.

Furthermore, the low roofline appears to merge with the rear pillar and the rear of the vehicle, revealing a large panoramic glass roof, which extends practically all the way to the taillights.

At the rear, run from side to side by an LED frame that connects the small and minimalist lanterns, in a more or less centered position, there is a diffuser with shapes similar to those of the front bumper.

What stands out the most in the cabin is probably the steering wheel, with a horizontal and narrow shape, which has an integrated display and therefore functions as an instrument panel. In the only available image of the interior it is possible to appreciate a horizontal panel that 'hangs' a large multimedia screen, although we also know that there are four individual seats. The manufacturer did not offer technical details of the prototype, although rumor has it that it is a plug-in hybrid that combines a gasoline front engine, an electric drive on the rear axle and a battery.
