Manhart: The new all-terrain type proposal with the new Land Rover Defender
Manhart has accustomed us with their improvements in performance, but also subtly in aesthetics, of BMW models with their programs. Although on some occasions they also dare with off-road work where they convert some of Munich's most famous crossovers into authentic monsters ready for adventure, as they showed with the BMW X6 MHX6 700 and BMW X7 MHX7 650.
Now, the specialist from Wuppertal is preparing a new proposal of the all-terrain type with the new Land Rover Defender, a model that, as we know, arrives very well armed as standard in this part, but which now wants to go a step further with this version called Manhart DP 450, which the Germans anticipate with these images that show a Defender ready for any adventure that puts its way. off-road, its robust front protections that include a robust tubular bumper, both in the highest area of the grille and in the headlights, as well as in the lower area where it is accompanied by a winch to get out of any quagmire. There is also an auxiliary LED light bar in the roof area incorporated into a luggage compartment, with a side ladder to access the area and a snorkel.
Although the company did not provide details on this, along with everything that was described before there will also be some suspension improvements with a more off-road focus, lifting the body a little more off the ground. This is accompanied by an adjustment in terms of engine with a power that now stands at 450 horsepower. There is no mention of the specific mechanics, but everything indicates that it will be the P300 with a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine that offers 300 hp as standard. Therefore, a very interesting improvement over the original model. However, this is a first brushstroke on a model that is not yet ready, so we can expect more details of this DP 450 in the coming months.
