MERCEDES-BENZ

Revelada a renderização não oficial do Mercedes CLE

First high-quality rendering of the Mercedes CLE-Class emerges

Mercedes-Benz has been working on a successor to the current E-Class and C-Class in coupe and convertible body styles for over a year. The German company wants to simplify its current line-up and replace the two-door versions of the E-Class and C-Class with a single new car, known for now as the CLE-Class. The new sports model is expected to debut later this year, but we have an exclusive new render to preview its design.

This digital drawing shows a sleek-looking Mercedes that is similar to the E-Class and C-Class in terms of size.

This is a traditional convertible with a soft top and room for four passengers in separate seats. From the front, it looks a bit like the current C-Class, but keep in mind that we expect this new model to be a little longer than the two-door C-Class.

According to unofficial information, the brand's new model will also be available in the coupe body. The convertible shown here, however, could also be very similar to the new Mercedes-AMG SL, albeit playing a different role in the brand's lineup. Also, the CLE has a shorter hood because it will only be equipped with four-cylinder engines, even in the "charged" versions of the AMG, just like the new C63. The SL roadster has a version with a V8 engine under the hood.

It is probably difficult to determine the exact length of the new CLE just by looking at this rendering, although we have information that it will be 4.83 meters long, or nearly the same length as the current E-Class coupe. The CLE family will initially consist of vehicles only. two-door, although a successor to the CLS is also currently in development and could form part of this new vehicle lineup. However, at the moment there is no confirmation of this from an official point of view.
