Company launches a more aggressive version of the Hilux for the European market
The new Ford Ranger Raptor will arrive in 2023 as an addition to the Dearborn brand's new-generation pick-up line. A generalist brand that prints an extra sportiness that Toyota also wants to give its Hilux pick-up. The Japanese brand asked the experts in radical transformations at Arctic Trucks to develop a special and limited edition of its pick-up.
A further collaboration in the alliance that both companies have maintained for more than thirty years, and which ended up materializing in the new Toyota Hilux AT33(image above). The Icelandic preparer already had an option on this pick-up that he presented at the beginning of last year with a special configuration to face the most complicated challenges in snowy terrain. A more radical plus and an own conception of the preparer, since this new version of the Hilux will be sold in selected European markets by the commercial division of the Japanese brand, Toyota Professional.
The new Toyota Hilux AT33 will stand out from the conventional versions of the model by an exclusive paintwork, the only one available in the 'Oxid Bronze' color, elegant and striking, which combines and contrasts with the 17-inch black-painted alloy wheels involving special tires. 33-inch BF Goodrich off-road vehicle equipped with dual filling and emptying valves. The new tires have varied dimensions, so that approach and departure angles, along with height in wet areas, have increased to 33º, 28º and 745 mm, respectively. In addition, it also has side stirrups.
In addition to the specific Arctic Trucks insignia, the new Hilux AT33 is offered strictly in a double cabin configuration, so that it has ample interior space for 5 passengers, with all the necessary amenities and sophisticated standard equipment where there is no shortage of interesting elements such as the following: multimedia system with integrated browser; JBL Hi-Fi sound system with 9 speakers; smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay; automatic dual-zone climate control; 360º panoramic camera; front and rear parking sensors; perforated leather upholstery.
Mechanically, there is only one option: the 2.8-liter diesel engine with a maximum output of 204 hp, coupled to an automatic transmission.
