TESLA ROADSTER DEVERÁ CHEGAR EM 2023

Tesla Roadster has confirmed production for 2023

One of the most anticipated novelties around the world is undoubtedly the Tesla Roadster, which would begin to be marketed in 2020. Now, the American brand has reopened its reservations, as it has set its production target for 2023.

According to information from EVANNEX, a company that manufactures and sells accessories for Tesla models, the website of Elon Musk's company shows the amount a customer needs to pay to formalize their reservation ($5,000), in addition to another 45,000, which they must pay. be paid within ten days.

At the moment, the website does not inform about the final price of the Roadster. Originally the car would cost $200,000, and if it was a special Founder Series Signature version, $250,000. With inflation and chip shortages around the world, Tesla may not want to be tied to a price that doesn't match the cost of a car that will be produced next year.

The Founders series corresponds to the first priority deliveries of the vehicle and is distinguished by having an emblem of the same name on the rear of the car. And of course, it seems that this version is already sold out.

Production of the Roadster is expected to begin shortly after that of the Cybertruck at the company's gigafactory in Texas.

If we do a memory exercise, the new Tesla Roadster was presented on November 16, 2017, almost five years ago. At the time, Musk promised his sports car would be the fastest production car ever made, with a 0-100 acceleration in 1.9 seconds.

This mark was almost achieved by the new owner of Twitter with the Tesla Model S Plaid, capable of setting the timer in 1.99 seconds in the same sprint, thanks to its three electric motors, which generate no less than 1,020 hp of combined power.

With current technology and battery advances, the 'basic' version of the Tesla Roadster should be able to go down to that 1.9 seconds. As for how long it will take to get the top-of-the-line version, we don't know, but we're looking to find out...
