Harley-Davidson apresentará motocicleta elétrica da marca LiveWire em 10 de maio

EXCLUSIVE: Company will introduce its next low-cost electrified motorcycle next week

LiveWire, Harley-Davidson's electric motorcycle company, is gearing up to announce an all-new model next week. We are talking about a motorcycle called Del Mar(image above), which will be presented to the public on May 10th.

In anticipation of this event, LiveWire released a short video, the sixth second of which, presumably, shows the rear of the Del Mar. According to reports, the new bike is a mid-weight motorcycle, which will make it more affordable than last year's LiveWire One, which retails for $21,999.

It is also reported that Del Mar's foundation was the LiveWire Arrow platform, which combines the drums, electronics and power plant into a single unit. In the future, the company plans to use this scalable platform to build other bikes based on it. The Del Mar case is expected to use a version of the S2 platform designed for mid-weight bikes. At the same time, Arrow is designed in such a way that, if needed, developers can easily scale it up to create light (S3) models and heavy (S4) bikes.

Please note that LiveWire is currently in the process of going public through an agreement with SPAC AEA-Bridges Impact Corporation and Taiwanese scooter manufacturer Kymco. Harley-Davidson previously said the merger was expected to be completed by mid-2022.
