Finally, Sérgio Perez's turn at the Monaco GP
Sergio Pérez won his third F1 victory – his second for Red Bull – this Sunday afternoon (29), when he crossed the finish line of the Monaco GP, a traditional race held in the streets of Monte Carlo, in first position. And after a real confusion in strategy, Ferrari - which ended Charles Leclerc's race - has to be satisfied with Carlos Sainz in second place. Championship leader Max Verstappen completed the podium.
Pole-position in this Sunday's race, Leclerc suffered from a mistake by Ferrari by calling him to the pits at the wrong time and plummeted to fourth place, while George Russell managed to gain a position in relation to the start and surpassed Lando Norris - who was sixth — for fifth place.
Now, F1 returns just two weeks from now. The dispute of the Azerbaijan GP, eighth stage of the season, is scheduled to take place between the 10th and 12th of June, in Baku.
Fernando Alonso did a great job holding Lewis Hamilton for most of the race and ended up in seventh place, while the seven-time champion couldn't beat Alpine and actually finished eighth – the same position he started from. Finally, they completed the field of veterans Valtteri Bottas, in ninth, and Sebastian Vettel with the tenth place.
