AUTONEWS
We all know that Richard Hammond has a huge feeling of love for the Ford Mustang. But what can he say about another American muscle car? A four-door otome with over 700 horsepower? This time, DriveTribe's newest car, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, has fallen into their hands.
Hammond was quick to point out that he wanted to be honest with the Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and its supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. He was very scared after he pressed the engine start button and heard her deep growls.
Hammond's first comment about his new Charger was the size of the car. In fact, he repeatedly mentioned how big the car was during the first nine minutes of interacting with it. He even compared it to a Range Rover SUV, saying it was wider than the Land Rover and it looked like it.
In addition to commenting on the size, Hammond was quick to point out the Charger's cheap interior, pointing to the plastic and leather seats similar to those found in lower-class cars. Though he eventually came to the conclusion that the hall as a whole "doesn't look so terrible".
Hammond separately noted that he still doesn't quite understand what the Charger Hellcat really is. He couldn't call it a classic muscle car because it has four doors. He believes muscle cars should only have two doors, plus a powerful V8 engine.
Upon arriving at The Smallest Cog, Hammond's classic car restoration shop, the former Top Gear host praised the Charger as a fun way to get to work. We think he liked the car, but we'll see how he spends more time with it in the coming months.
Not long ago, our publication wrote that Richard Hammond is partially selling his car collection. One of the hosts of the TopGear cult car show, Richard Hammond, has decided to sell some classic cars from his private collection. He plans to use the money he earns to expand his catering business.
