Auto Revista tests the new Aygo X

The Auto Revista team is in Barcelona, ​​where the international presentation of the latest Japanese model is taking place. The Aygo X has kept the name and the suffix X suggests that it is about improving the car's crossover characteristics.

The high ground clearance is just one of the new features. Although the external dimensions have remained almost unchanged, the car is more comfortable and technically advanced.

The engine is primarily felt when driving, where the Aygo X behaves like larger cars, is more stable in cornering and steering, and the latest Toyota Safety Sense safety system is installed which includes potential collision warning and automatic braking, adaptive cruise control, automatic high beam activation and even automatic steering intervention in case of need, i.e. to avoid a collision.

The latest generation of multimedia with a large 9-inch screen, of which cloud navigation is an integral part, has also been installed, the system supports connections via Android Auto and Apple Car Play apps.

The model has two versions available - a manual and a CVT transmission. Under the hood is a three-cylinder gasoline engine with a volume of 998 cc, which delivers 72 horsepower, this is enough for city driving, especially since the designers have ensured that the car has a weight of 940 kilograms - this too contributed to the reduction of consumption, with values ​​that surprise us a lot.
