Meridian: the medium crossover specific to the Indian market
Jeep's offer continues to grow internationally and the last vehicle to see the light was the Meridian, a mid-size crossover for India with a capacity for seven passengers that has certain points in common with the Brazilian version of the Commander.
Aesthetically it is a car that makes a good impression and will please the brand's customers. Its shapes, a little more square than usual, allow you to make the most of an interior that is well presented although it does not have the same quality of materials as in the brand's vehicles destined for other markets.
Depending on the versions, the equipment will include LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, push-button start, keyless access, alloy wheels, sliding sunroof, leather upholstery, electric seats, a 10-inch screen navigator, pre-collision and blind spot object detection.
At 4.8 meters in length it is a very capable car inside and will be a very interesting option for Indian families looking for a coach of this size. The trunk starts at 233 liters, but with five seats in use, it goes up to an interesting 661 liters.
The only engine announced for the launch is a 2.0-liter diesel with Multijet technology and 170 hp in combination with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 9-speed automatic gearbox. In the latter case, it has full traction.
