FORD LANÇA O MUSTANG MACH 1 2022 NO BRASIL E COMEMORA O SÉTIMO ANO DE LIDERANÇA

Mustang has the best result among sports and premium sports competitors in Brazil

Ford has launched the sale of the 2022 Mustang Mach 1, bringing five new colors that highlight the sportiness and exclusivity of the icon. The launch coincides with the Mustang's 2021 confirmation as the world's best-selling sports coupe for the seventh year in a row, according to data from S&P Global Mobility. A nice gift for the 'pony car', which celebrated its 58th anniversary last Sunday, April 17th.

The new Mustang Mach 1 is the fourth generation of the classic, originally launched in the late 60's. Equipped with the most powerful Coyote V8 5.0 engine in the line, with 483 hp, it comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and performance components brought from the Bullitt models. , Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT500.

The 2022 lineup of the sports car comes with five new pearl colors: Catalonia Gray with black stripes and red accents, Fuji Green, Delhi Orange, Estoril Blue and Zolder Purple, the latter combining black stripes with white accents.

The new colors further highlight the Mustang Mach 1's unique personality, featuring numerous historic styling references and exquisite aerodynamics to increase downforce at high speeds. In addition to perforated leather seats with cooling and heating, it has advanced driver assistance technologies and is the first connected Mustang, with remote controls via the FordPass app.

“The Mustang is a symbol of freedom around the world that excites fans with its design, impressive power and history. In Brazil it is no different. The Mach 1 has the added attraction of being a special edition. It's a car worthy of a collector”, says Daniel Sinzato, Brand Manager at Ford.

Global icon...According to internal Ford data, the United States remains the largest consumer of the Mustang, with 76% of global sales. In addition to New Zealand (54.3%) and South Korea (16.6%), Brazil was one of the markets that registered growth in sports sales in 2021, from 37.3% (from 354 to 486 units). Since its launch in Brazil in 2018, the Mustang has more than 2,300 license plates, the best result among competing premium sports and sports cars.

S&P Global Mobility's filings include data from government and other sources that capture 95% of global new vehicle volume in more than 80 countries, as per a February 2022 report. The sports coupes category, as defined by the entity, includes two doors and convertibles.

In 2021, the Mustang Mach-E, a new member of the Mustang family, also celebrated the success of its first full year of sales and multiple press awards such as North American Utility Vehicle of the Year, Car & 2021 Electric Car of the Year. Driver, 10 Best 2021 and Best Buy 2022 from Kelley Blue Book, as well as being a finalist for the 2022 World Car of the Year.
