Alpina XB7: the select and luxurious SUV will hit the market soon
As we could see this week, BMW has renewed its most select and luxurious SUV. A BMW X7 that arrives with a totally innovative new face - which it seems that it will also reach other models of the brand - and of course, with the latest in terms of technology and luxury from the Bavarian house.
However, the Germans did not limit themselves to renewing the current line, because now that Alpina is owned by BMW, it did not take long for them to present the renovation of the well-known Alpina XB7, which, as usual, will bring an extra sportiness and distinction to the SUV. luxurious.
For now, Alpina offers a first image as an advance where we can see some differential details that are already an identity password in Alpina models, such as its redesigned bumper with lower and sportier skirts with the name Alpina on the lower part, to which there is a dark vertical piece next to the lower headlight, a fully chromed double kidney grille and, of course, the 21-inch 'Alpina Dynamic' multi-spoke wheels - also available in 23-inch and light alloy 'Alpina Classic' - with the Alpina emblem. We can also appreciate in this first image a kind of side strip that uses the door handles and which also includes the name of Alpina. There will also be, we imagine, the usual oval and chrome exhaust outlets.
On the other hand, inside we will find an extra distinction marked by the custom-made leather upholstery and, of course, the latest in terms of technology and safety from BMW.
As for the aesthetic part, for now and in the absence of a more complete image gallery there is not much to talk about, but in the mechanical part we already have details confirmed. This 2023 XB7 will feature the latest generation of BMW's 4.4-liter V8 biturbo engine accompanied by smooth hybridization technology and a new exhaust manifold to deliver an even more intense roar and improved turbo response. Power remains at the same figures as the current model, with 621 hp and 800 Nm of maximum torque that allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h.
This performance will be accompanied by a specific configuration of the shock absorbers, in a suspension of the pneumatic type that is automatically regulated according to the speed at which the vehicle travels.
This 2023 BMW Alpina XB7 is now available to order in European markets with a price tag that starts from €170,500 and its first deliveries are expected in December this year 2022.
