XPENG MOTORS

Chinese brand extends its sales to the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden

The Chinese company Xpeng Motors only started producing electric vehicles in 2018, but it has since recently started to offer its products in Norway, and now three more countries in this region have been added – the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. From Thursday, local customers can pre-order the new European-spec Xpeng P5 sedan, and the brand's showrooms will appear not only in Sweden, but also in the Netherlands.

The Xpeng Motors showroom in Stockholm has been in operation since last month, and the brand's second showroom has just opened in the Netherlands. Visitors can see not only the Xpeng P5 and P7 sedans, but also the X2 aircraft, which the company also hopes to put on the wake. Two more car dealerships will open in the Netherlands before the end of the year, and it is possible that a similar representative office will soon appear in Denmark. Starting in April, Xpeng's European customers will be able to test drive the brand's electric vehicles.

It is worth noting that the versions of the Xpeng P5 sedans delivered in Europe will be devoid of lidars, and their Xpilot active driver assistance system will only correspond to the 2.5 version, although in China it has already evolved further, to 3.5. A software update of the “over the air” driver assistants functionality is provided. In the base variant, the Xpeng P5 offers front-wheel drive and a 66 kWh traction battery, which in the WLTP conditional cycle allows it to travel 465 km without recharging.
