GranTurismo is the brand's first electrified model with the DNA of Formula E

Building on the results of the 2021 financial year, Maserati announced its short- and medium-term strategy for the launch of its electric brand, Maserati Folgore. Maserati wants to become a reference in all market segments and be the first luxury brand to complete its electric line by 2025. Before, in 2023, we will see the first electric car of the Italian brand, which will be manufactured at the production center of Maserati. Mirafiori.

The electric GranTurismo will offer cutting-edge technical solutions derived from Formula E and high performance, as well as the comfort and elegance typical of the Trident brand. Maserati's new sports car promises an output of 1,200 hp, so it will be a serious rival to other electric super sports cars.

Further on, in 2024, we will see the long-awaited Maserati Grecale, an SUV whose presentation we will get to know in a short time and which will feature an all-electric version. And between 2024 and 2025, all Maserati models will feature a 100% electric version: the MC20 and future Quattroporte and Levante will complete the Maserati Folgore offering to appeal to the new luxury consumer in all market segments.

Maserati's strategy forms part of Stellantis' 'Dare Forward 2030' strategic plan, announced on March 1. All of the brand's new models will adopt battery-powered propulsion systems in 2030 and will be designed, developed and manufactured in Italy.
