VOLVO XC60 BY HEICO SPORTIV: NÃO DEVE NADA A QUALQUER ALEMÃO

XC60 BY HEICO: German tuner developed a complete set of visual modifications for the Swedish model

Although Volvo seems to be the great forgotten in the premium segment, the last products of the Swedish brand do not owe anything to the great German products like the BMW X3 or the Audi Q5. The same is true in the tuner business and this Volvo XC60 by Heico Sportiv is good proof of that.

The German tuner, specializing in the Volvo and Polestar lines, has developed a complete set of visual modifications for the Swedish SUV. Perhaps what stands out the most is the perfect integration of the elements, as it looks more like a factory sports version than a preparation. Of course, mechanical adjustments are also offered.

On the front, the additions to the air intakes, the fins and the divider stand out. Nor is a Heico emblem missing from the grid. This is all combined with extensions to the front and rear fenders, as well as a redesigned rear spoiler that houses the quad exhaust pipes. All parts can be painted in body color or in contrasting color.

All modifications comply with the latest pedestrian protection guidelines and do not interfere with vehicle sensors and ADAS systems. Moving on to the interior, there is a beautiful sports steering wheel, aluminum pedals, velvet floor mats and a set of Heico emblems for various elements.

The icing on the cake are Volution's 21-inch and 22-inch alloy wheels. They are shod with wider high-performance tires. Behind the wheels hides an improved braking system. For a more aggressive stance, the specialist offers 15mm spacers and a special electronic module that reduces the adaptive air suspension by 30mm.

Heico did not limit itself to visual and chassis modifications. The e.Motion upgrade software boosts the power of the 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine to a respectable 220 hp and 480 Nm of torque. The power increase translates into an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds. For all versions it is possible to change the maximum speed limiter.

Thanks to this, the speed limiter goes from 180 km/h to 230 km/h. Other options include a high-performance intercooler, a sport air filter and an accelerator pedal adjustment. They are offered for all versions, but in the case of the XC60 T8 with the plug-in hybrid system, the set must be a real madness.

There's no shortage of an active sports exhaust system with throttle control that can be combined with the Heico Sportiv sound system for a more aggressive tune. The body pack costs 3,399 euros. It goes up to 6,592 euros if the exhaust system is included, plus another 801 euros if the wheels are added.

Mechanical modifications significantly increase the cost. We are talking about 2,282 euros for tuning the engine software, 1,850 euros for the maximum speed increase and 1,519 euros for the intercooler. To these are added €1,979 for the air suspension module and €5,988 for the improved brake system.
