LADA NIVA MONSTER BY ZUBR: A RESPOSTA RUSSA AO FORD BRONCO RAPTOR

Niva Monster by ZUBR

Last July, Lada unveiled the Niva Bronto as its most capable production crossover. However, the Niva platform can easily accommodate even more improvements than the factory is willing to install.

A good example of a highly prepared Niva arrives through the German company ZUBR and the best thing is that it is currently on sale, and it is not cheap.

Dubbed the Niva Monster, the little off-roader has improved suspension and sits 150 millimeters higher than a standard Niva, and with 235 millimeters of ground clearance.

Now, of course, it's no match for the new Ford Bronco Raptor, although the added underside protection should alleviate incoming bumps when tackling rougher terrain. Huge Hankook Dynapro MT tires and a snorkel ensure trouble-free 'submersion' when crossing a river, for example.

Visually, it doesn't stray too far from the original format. Wider wheel arches accommodate all-terrain tires, custom matte black bumpers help with approach and departure angles, and there's even a custom spare wheel mount on the trunk lid, where a tire fits. of normal size.

The exterior is finished in a matte green color with a special paint that protects the body from rust and deep scratches. Last but not least, the round LED headlights retain the vintage design of the original car, but provide better visibility.

Unfortunately, everything under the hood appears to be standard. We must admit that there is not much you can do in an archaic 1.7-liter naturally aspirated engine to get more power, so the 4-cylinder unit maintains its standard figures: 83 hp and 129 Nm of torque. Power reaches all four wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission and a permanent all-wheel drive system.

This much-modified Niva is currently on sale in Germany for a price of 44,000 euros. It seems like a considerable value for a simple Niva, without a doubt, but whoever wants different options or colors, ZUBR will be open to listen to the needs of each customer and build a bespoke Niva. The waiting time is about three months.
