Singer rejuvenated the classic 911 with the famous 'Mezger' flat-six engine

Little by little, Singer has been gaining weight as the company par excellence when it comes to rejuvenating classic Porsche 911 models, especially in the generations with an air-cooled engine. So we could see a fair amount of models from the 911 DLS family being showcased with retro charm and greater personalization, but there was something they hadn't done yet, getting into the Turbo versions, something their customers had been demanding for some time.

Well, but that has changed, because Singer has finally launched turbocharging in its models with the Porsche 911 Turbo Study, the first look at Singer's first Turbo version, since in addition to having the extra power that two turbochargers, displays the aggressive aesthetics of a classic Porsche 911 Turbo from the 964 generation.

This first Singer Turbo Study is presented in an elegant yet modern Wolf Blue color over a wider and more aerodynamic body as required by the canons of the 911 Turbo, but this time it is constructed in a lighter carbon fiber to further improve performance and the rigidity of the set, following its new aerodynamics.

On the mechanical side, it still has the famous air-cooled flat-six 'Mezger' engine, now with 3.8 liters and above all armed with two turbochargers with electric discharge valve. It also has new custom-made air-water intercoolers installed inside the intake chambers.

These and other improvements allow this Singer Turbo to deliver at least 450 horsepower, although as always Singer's level of customization will allow it to reach new heights. In addition, this mechanics will be accompanied by a 6-speed manual transmission, a suspension adapted to daily use and a carbon-ceramic brake system.

In fact, customers interested in it will also be able to order it with both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, and of course, it will include a deeply revised interior with Singer's exquisite care in personalization, in this case in a Malibu Sand finish with Black wood accents. Forest, but keeping its retro essence with analogue elements.

The model will make its debut in front of the public at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2022, which will take place between June 23 and 26, and shortly after it will be shown at Monterey Car Week in August. Now, Singer did not provide details on the price of this new creation, since as they explain, the cost will depend a lot on the specifications requested by each customer, who will be able to have the car practically to their measure.
