MERCEDES-BENZ OFERECE OS PRIMEIROS DETALHES E IMAGENS DO eSPRINTER 2024

MB Sprinter arrives electrified in 2024

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter will debut in mid-2023 and will do that by putting all the meat on the grill. Remembering that the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is one of the most advanced products in its segment in terms of safety and comfort equipment. In addition, it is available in a wide range of mechanics and bodies to adapt to all types of customers and jobs.

With the new delivery, the German company seeks to offer an even broader and more versatile alternative. The Mercedes-Benz eSprinter will begin production in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2024. Production will later be joined by factories in Düsseldorf and Ludwigsfelde, Germany. For now, Mercedes-Benz shows its van in the testing phase.

The 2024 Mercedes-Benz eSprinter will arrive with three different battery options. The German company talks about more than double the autonomy depending on the version chosen, which is great news. Each of the battery options will undergo rigorous testing, as you can see in the images.

Of course, these tests also include all the body styles that the van will adopt. Remembering that the current eSprinter uses an electric powertrain that produces a power equivalent to 116 hp (85 kW) and 295 Nm of torque. The long chassis version is offered with two batteries to complement the added weight.

The standard option equips a 41 kWh battery. It offers a total range of 115 kilometers on a single charge. The other alternative is the 55 kWh battery pack, which increases its range up to 168 kilometers. Now it also increases the weight of the set and reduces the carrying capacity. We will have to see what the new generation will improve in this regard.

For now, Mercedes-Benz has released images of the eSprinter undergoing cold weather testing in Arjeplog, Sweden. They analyze the effects of extreme cold on driving, ergonomics, thermal management and cabin comfort. The performance of components, heating systems, as well as software and load management are also observed.

It looks like the future is electric for commercial vehicles too. The German manufacturer has already announced plans to develop a new VAN.EA platform for its third generation electric vans. Little is known about it for now, but the first vehicles based on the VAN.EA architecture will be released in the mid-2020s.
