Bronco Sport has a very cool feature, the off-road autopilot

Driving on off-road trails requires a certain skill and the Bronco Sport has some innovative features that make this task easier even for those who are not used to venturing off the asphalt. One of them is the off-road autopilot, which maintains the programmed speed so that the driver can focus only on driving when facing more extreme terrain, such as steep climbs or descents - see the video below.

The system automatically controls the accelerator and brakes to maintain vehicle speed, which can be selected within a range of 2 to 32 km/h with the transmission in D (Drive) or M (GOAT Modes), or up to 8 km/h. h in reverse. It is activated by a key on the center console, located in the upper left corner of the GOAT Modes button. Once this is done, a confirmation notice appears on the panel: “Track control enabled. Use SET button to adjust speed”.

The speed can be adjusted in 1 km/h, or continuously, by pushing the SET or SET- buttons in the direction. The system continues to function even if the driver steps on the accelerator or brake, as long as the vehicle is below 20 mph (32 km/h). Its shutdown is only done when the speed exceeds 68 km/h or the button on the console is pressed again.

The Bronco Sport's exceptional off-road capability is also due to the performance of the 240 hp 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine, 4x4 traction, locking rear differential and terrain management system with seven modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery. , Sand, Rock and Mud/Earth. Another exclusivity of the SUV is the torque vectoring system, which distributes the force between the four wheels according to the driving condition and, in extreme cases, can transfer all the available torque to a single wheel, increasing traction on uneven floors.
