FORD BRONCO RAPTOR: ESTE É O FORD BRONCO MAIS PODEROSO DA HISTÓRIA

Bronco Raptor: the wildest of the lineage brings an extensive set of news

Two icons that have dominated off-road territory for years come together: Ford Bronco and Raptor. Built to race through the desert and climb over rocks, the new 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor offers the all-terrain segment superior performance.

The Ford Bronco Raptor, the newest member of the indomitable SUV family, arrives this week as the most powerful ever created and as the world's first 4x4 SUV inspired by the Ultra4 racing category. The Ford Performance team, which produces the F-150 Raptor and Ranger Raptor, designed and developed the Ford Bronco Raptor to appeal to and surprise the most extreme off-road enthusiasts.

The Ford Bronco Raptor is equipped with elite off-road technology and hardware. Ultra4 Racing is the perfect example of the toughest off-road competition, with demanding races like the famous King of the Hammers in California's Johnson Valley, where the Ford Bronco Raptor will be shown on February 3rd. The Ford Raptor and Ford Bronco family will continue to be the official pickup and SUV in the Ultra4 series.

With the arrival of the Ford Bronco Raptor, the American brand once again expands its expertise in Ford Raptor high-performance all-terrain vehicles, which also includes the F-150 Raptor for North America and the Ranger Raptor for the global market.

“The Raptor is the pinnacle of our off-road vehicle lineup and is now a complete lineup with race-tested content and design that no one else can achieve,” said Jim Farley, CEO of Ford Motor Company. "Only Ford could create the Ford Bronco Raptor."

In addition to the Raptor family, Ford offers an unrivaled array of high-performance vehicles and special features to master both on and off the road, from the Mustang Shelby GT500, the top-of-the-line performance Mustang for the street, to the ST line of cars and SUVs, including the Tremor family of the F-150 and Ranger to offer tough, work-capable off-road pick-ups.

Ford Performance reveals indomitable capability and durability...To build the world's first SUV inspired by the Ultra4, Ford Performance set very high standards. The Ford Bronco Raptor had to be even faster and provide even more off-road capability, agility and maneuverability than the Ford Bronco already offers.

“We had to build the Ford Bronco Raptor: our latest vehicle for extreme off-road enthusiasts who demand something more,” said Carl Widmann, chief engineer at Ford Performance. "Like the Ultra4's desert racing vehicles, the Raptor spirit of SUVs conquers the desert dunes at high speeds and is equipped with race-spec off-road technology and hardware."

Starting from the foundation of the Ford Bronco's chassis, the Ford Performance team knew they needed a Raptor-specific version that would allow for increased suspension travel and width for driving stability during high-speed desert racing. The heart of the Raptor is a high-strength steel chassis with new shock mount structures that increase wheel travel and off-road durability. Heavy-duty skid plates provide seamless coverage of the driveline from the front bumper to the rear of the engine, transmission and transfer case. At the top of the body, the B-pillar crossbar and C-pillar reinforcement contribute to more than 50% more overall torsional rigidity of the body than a standard four-door Ford Bronco model.

The race-specific Ford Performance-developed axles, also used in the special racing version of the Ford Bronco DR, are yet another example of the Ultra4-inspired design. The solid rear axle has been upgraded with a semi-floating Dana 50 Heavy-Duty AdvanTEK with a 235mm main chainring, while the Dana 44 AdvanTEK front-wheel drive unit includes improved axles with a 210mm chainring.

These heavy-duty front and rear axles increase track width by 8.6 inches (73.6 inches compared to 65.0 inches) over a standard Ford Bronco for even more confidence at high speeds. Larger front and rear driveshafts support greater wheel torque. The Ford Bronco Raptor has a minimum ground clearance of 13.1 inches, 4.8 inches more than the standard four-door model.

An advanced three-mode 4x4 system includes a higher capacity clutch designed to withstand the demands of high performance desert testing. The improved transfer case also features a 4x4 LO ratio of 3.06 for a drag ratio of up to 67.7:1.

The Ford Performance team collaborated with FOX to improve the High-Performance Off-Road Suspension and Stability System (HOSS) with Live Valve adaptive technology. Like the F-150 Raptor's progressive damping design, the Bronco Raptor's HOSS 4.0 system features FOX 3.1 Internal Bypass semi-active dampers (3.1 inches in diameter) that are individually adjustable front and rear, and feature a tank. integrated fluid reserve at the front and remote tanks at the rear. Both the suspension height sensors and other sensors at each corner independently monitor terrain conditions hundreds of times every second and adjust the suspension.

Ford Performance's uniquely designed front and rear control arms contribute to providing maximum front wheel travel of 13.0 inches and 14.0 inches at the rear, 60% and 40% more, respectively, than a standard model in the family. Ford Bronco. To provide confidence and cover the high-speed needs of the world's first Ultra4-inspired SUV, the Ford Performance team contacted BFGoodrich for 37-inch KO2 all-terrain tires (37x12.50 R17 LT), the largest on any production SUV in the United States, featuring two 17-inch Ford Performance-designed wheels with beadlock capability. Additionally, to improve the Ford Bronco Raptor, an electric steering system based on the F-150 Raptor has been added, as well as larger diameter inner and outer steering lugs.

Raptor Style with Innovative Indomitable Design...The first ever Ford Bronco Raptor offers a unique design that combines the signature traits of the Raptor family with the innovative indomitable design of the Ford Bronco family.

“The design of the Ford Bronco Raptor, the wildest to date, is extreme,” said Paul Wraith, Ford Bronco Design Chief. "It's muscular while maintaining simplicity with performance-centric details to deliver exceptional high-speed capability."

Ford's familiar capital letters on the front extend across the distinctive two-piece rectangular grille. Raptor-specific LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights and wide amber position lights combine with Raptor DNA for an intimidating look. Ford Performance's high-strength modular steel front bumper features tow hooks, retractable bumper end caps to enhance its off-road capability, pull-out LED fog lights and Rigid off-road lights for greater lighting.

The hood of the Ford Bronco Raptor is made from a composite of molded blades, which gives the design team the ability to imposingly sculpt a muscular profile. The air vents on the hood are molded in Carbon Black and the fender openings are painted in body color. Raptor logos to the left and right of the bonnet bulge give a hint of the power of the twin-turbo engine underneath.

The Ford Bronco Raptor is proud to take advantage of the Ford Bronco's patented off-road modular design, replacing components with unique Raptor front and rear panels, fenders, guards and door inserts.

The front fender panels are designed wider and the heat exhaust ducts integrated into the side of the body provide additional engine cooling. The back panels are also reinforced for a muscular look. Along with the fenders, the Ford Bronco Raptor is 9.8 inches wider than the standard Ford Bronco. The reinforced stirrups specific to the Bronco Raptor are detachable, which increases the ability to climb over rocks.

To further maintain the Raptor DNA, a Ford Bronco Raptor graphics package is available that includes new graphics on the rear body sides and hood that utilize a trapezoidal pattern and floating shapes to present a sophisticated digital look. Exterior colors include Basalt Black, Coastal Blue, Glacier Blue, Polar Silver, Arctic Grey, Dune Orange, Tundra White, Terracotta Red, Jungla Green, plus the exclusive color for Ford Performance models: Lava Orange

Focused on competition with an optimized interior...The Ford Bronco Raptor has a horizontal dashboard that integrates a new 12-inch fully digital instrument panel. The cluster allows drivers to select from multiple views, including the Ford Bronco Raptor-exclusive Performance View, which emphasizes tachometer and transmission readings, as well as allowing for custom gauges.

“The interior of the Ford Bronco Raptor was designed around what we know off-road racers want in a vehicle,” said Ryan Olsson, director of design. “From the new Performance View on the digital cluster, the unique steering wheel with paddle shifts and easy access to Raptor-specific controls, to its highly race-ready front seats, the Ford Bronco Raptor leaves the assembly line ready to sit on the line. starting point”.

Basic Ford Bronco Raptor models are equipped with Black Onyx marine grade vinyl seats and washable rubber flooring. The dark interior is accented with Code Orange accents from Ford Performance on the GOAT Modes swivel lever, ventilation screens, door mesh, steering wheel seams and the Bronco logo on the instrument panel, including the starter button. is lit in this distinctive orange hue. The contact points, such as the grips, the steering wheel rim and the gear lever, have carbon fiber details.

Owners can opt for upgraded features such as new laser-perforated Alcantara Black Onyx seats, vinyl-covered instrument panel top, leather-lined outer seat bolsters and carpeted flooring. A thicker, sporty contoured steering wheel with magnesium paddle shifts and the center gloss black Raptor logo continue the Ford Performance style. Ford Performance engineered front seats are unique to the Ford Bronco Raptor, designed with aggressive foam side reinforcements to help keep passengers securely seated when the terrain gets rough. Optional Lava Orange seat belts add even more Ford Performance style.

The Ford Bronco Raptor comes standard with a High Package package that includes SYNC 4 with a 12-inch sliding touchscreen, On-Demand Information Panel and enhanced voice recognition. Among other technological features, it includes an outdoor camera with a 360° view. The Lux Package is available for customers looking for even more user-centric technology, such as an available 10-speaker B&O audio system and adaptive cruise control.
