DAF LANÇA CAMINHÃO CF SEMIPESADO COM MOTOR PACCAR GR-7 DE 6.7 LITROS

Brand launches new semi-heavy model in 6x2 configuration in Brazil

With the success of the new CF line of heavy and semi-heavy trucks, DAF Caminhões Brasil now presents the New DAF CF with PACCAR GR-7 Engine, 6.7 liters, in rigid chassis, in 6x2 versions (with Total Gross Weight, PBT, 23 tons) and 8x2 (with PBT of 29 tons), expanding its operations in the semi-heavy segment. Produced at the Ponta Grossa plant, in Paraná, the truck arrives at dealerships in February.

The model was specially developed to serve the distribution sector, offering the most comfortable cabin in this segment, a lot of robustness, high performance and low fuel consumption. The new model is aimed at self-employed professionals and small producers, focusing on the distribution of up to 35 tons.

“This is another truck designed with the excellence of DAF Caminhões Brasil. We are offering a significant leap in quality in the segment. The New CF arrives in the Brazilian market elevating the concept of comfort in the category, offering safety and design with a focus on drivers. In addition, it is a multifunctional truck, with easy and affordable maintenance, equipped as standard with several important features, which meet the specific needs of each customer, ensuring great value for money. We are very happy to present the New CF”, explains Luis Gambim, Commercial Director of DAF Caminhões Brasil.

The New PACCAR GR-7 Engine, developed especially for this model, has 6.7 liters, with 6 cylinders, and is available in two versions: with 280 hp and 950 Nm of torque, and 300 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. Torque curve is flat throughout the green band of the instrument panel display.

The propeller is equipped with a Common Rail injection system, which contributes to more efficient fuel consumption, noise reduction and lower emission of polluting gases. The model uses the Butterfly-type engine brake system, with 224 hp of power.

The New CF has the option of a 12-speed ZF AS-Tronic automated transmission, designed to work at low rpm and capable of offering longer ratios. With this, it is possible to achieve greater driving comfort, standardization of driving, reduced maintenance time and increased safety.

The new truck has new Meritor MS-155 20T tractor axles, with a differential ratio of 3.73:1 or 4.10:1, with a simple and robust design, which helps to reduce fuel consumption and lower operating costs, due to the lower maintenance index. The New CF also has a Suspensys support axle, with pneumatic suspension and DAF model 133N directional axles, type forged steel beam, ideal for the segment, as well as maintaining the second directional axle in the 8x2 version.

The fuel tank, with a capacity of 650 liters of diesel, and the Arla 32 tank, with 42 liters - which helps to reduce pollutant gas emissions - are made of high-resistance plastic, which helps to reduce the vehicle's weight. . The truck has a standard tire size of 275/80 R22.5 and, as an option, a 295/80 R22.5 tire.

Highest comfort in its category... The New DAF CF with PACCAR GR-7 Engine, has the premium quality already known from the New DAF Line. One of its differentials is the comfort it provides to the driver, such as the largest internal space in the category.

The truck is marketed with three cabin options: Day, Sleeper and Space (the most spacious in the category).

The Day cabin is a new addition to the DAF range and exclusive to the 6x2 configuration. It is a suggestion for daytime use, with an internal height of 1.60 m, and does not have a bed. The Sleeper cabin has the same height, but comes with a 2.23 m bed in 6x2 and 8x2 versions. The Space cabin, the largest in its category, is 2.23 m high and 2.10 m long and has a bunk bed with a ladder to access the upper bed. The cabins that have beds have high quality mattresses, for a quality rest for the driver, and beds measuring 2045 x 680 mm.

“Since the beginning of the new truck project, DAF Caminhões Brasil has been committed to putting the driver first. All the elaboration of the project was thought for the driver to work with more ergonomics and comfort. This will provide him with less fatigue and contribute to greater attention behind the wheel, driving the vehicle more efficiently and safely. That's why the New CF hits the market as the most comfortable in its category”, completes Jarno Broeze, Product Development Director at DAF Caminhões Brasil.

The truck has a superior finish and prioritizes the comfort and ergonomics of the driver, with direct impacts on safety. The available seat options, for driver and passenger, are another highlight of this launch. Options include backrest adjustment, pneumatic shock absorber with manual adjustment and up to eight types of adjustments, such as lumbar support, spine and armrest.

The New CF also offers blackout curtains, for greater privacy for the driver, with the central curtain as an option, as well as the luggage compartment function. The internal lighting is activated and controlled by digital buttons, with three levels of regulation.
