BMW M3 TOURING: A PERUA ESPORTIVA DA MARCA BÁVARA CHEGA ESTE ANO DE 2022

M3 Touring 2022 appears in camouflaged video and photos

In August 2020, news emerged that surprised everyone, as BMW announced with a teaser image the launch of a totally unexpected new member in its M family. which is already in development. Now, the brand has just shared with all its followers a new document on the occasion of the change of year that has just taken place.

For some time now, we have been able to contemplate this model in detail thanks to the work carried out by the photographers on duty, added to the brushstrokes that were offered by BMW itself, whether in videos or photographs with a camouflage that tries to hide the aesthetic keys of the unprecedented M3. While the last teaser showed the Touring parked on a road showing off its wide hips and characteristic four tailpipes, now the more extreme Series 3 station wagon has moved into a completely snowy landscape to congratulate us on the new year.

In the new advance of this model, the German brand does not reveal any details of its exterior design, although it is not necessary to have a crystal ball to guess its aesthetic keys, since this camouflage makes its main features visible. Until now, the van body was reserved for the M5, which in its 1992 and 2007 versions had a version with a familiar body, called Touring. But it is the first time that an M3 Touring will be manufactured in series, although it is exactly 20 years since there was a concept with this type of bodywork based on the third generation, the E46.

BMW hasn't given more details for now, but like every M version the Touring will feature the identity badges of these versions on the body, like flared wheel arches, remarkably large front air intakes and four tailpipes at the rear, all of that as part of the M DNA that will be fully noticeable regardless of the vehicle's body type.

Under the hood is a turbocharged 6-cylinder in-line, 3.0 liter displacement, which will develop 480 hp of power and will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. However, everything indicates that it will also be available in the form of a Competition version, with its 510 hp and an automatic transmission that will send all the energy to the four wheels.

As confirmed by BMW itself, the first M3 Touring is still in the process of development, so it will be necessary to wait the next few months to know all the details of this new version. As with other higher-performance versions, part of the adjustments will take place at the Nordschleife Nurburgring circuit. We will be looking out for your next moves.
