Legendary Model 500 E in 1991 is for sale

For those living in Europe, this is an opportunity to purchase one of the 10,479 Mercedes-Benz 500 E that were manufactured in collaboration with Porsche. It was presented at the Paris Motor Show in 1990 and was active until 1995, becoming one of the most important high-performance sedans of the moment, at a time when AMG was not yet in charge of developing these versions officially for Mercedes- Benz.

Equipped with a 5.0 liter V8 engine and naturally aspirated, the 500 E offered 326 hp of power managed through an automatic transmission connected directly to the rear axle. In this way, it was able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.1 seconds and kept accelerating until reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

This particular unit was commissioned in February 1991 and is finished in metallic black with the bumpers and sides in dark grey. The interior features perforated beige leather upholstery, black dashboard and steering wheel, and wooden moldings. This unit is generally quite well preserved, with few signs of wear and tear despite its age and mileage.

Its V8 engine has accumulated 105,182 kilometers in the last three decades. According to the advertiser, Premium Classics, the car was imported from Monaco to the Netherlands. It has only had one owner in all that time and has a complete dealer maintenance history. No accidents are reported and it still preserves the original painting.
