Ialian company presents a renovated Lancia Delta Safarista

At the end of 2018, Automobili Amos surprised the world with an impressive, exclusive vehicle that breathed Lancia DNA on all four sides. This first vehicle was named Lancia Delta Futurista, arrived with a production limited to 20 units and each one had a price of 300,000 euros. Now, the company has raised the bar and presents its latest work, the Lancia Delta Safarista.

We are facing a modern reinterpretation of the Lancia Delta HF Integrale in rallying. This competition version adopts all the characteristic features of the legendary rally champion and adds a series of specific details. Furthermore, it has an extremely limited production and a price that surpasses even some of the best sports cars on the market.

“Functionality and durability above aesthetics”. This is the principle that Automobili Amos followed to develop the Delta Safarista. And the result speaks for itself. Based on a donor Delta HF Integrale 16V, Eugenio Amos' company can convert the car into a vehicle with a competition aesthetic, although Automobili Amos emphasizes that it is not a competition car.

The front is similar to that of the Futuristic Delta, with a black grille that frames the pair of double round LED headlamps. Below, the bumper has been redesigned and is finished in the same color as the grid. The fenders have been widened considerably and the hood has numerous ventilation outlets.

One of the new features is that the rear doors were eliminated to create a three-door body. The rear wheel arches have also been widened, a new rear spoiler has been fitted and the bumper has been cut in height to gain a few extra millimetres. It has two exhaust outlets and a diffuser. Also noteworthy are the orange shades located behind the wheels, as well as the rear-view mirrors and competition wheels with rally tires.

The interior of the Lancia Delta Safarista has also been customised. Any unnecessary components have been removed, and in their place are a pair of racing seats with four- or five-point Sabelt belts. A pull-out racing steering wheel, carbon fiber sports pedals and a protective cage were also installed. Under the hood, the 4-cylinder 2.0 turbo engine was rebuilt and improved by Autotecnica. Automobili Amos improved the water and oil cooling system, and equipped an intake system from K&N. The propeller is coupled to a sequential transmission and competition differentials for the all-wheel drive system. Brakes and adjustable competition suspension are also included, as is a hydraulic handbrake.

The new Lancia Delta Safarista from Automobili Amos will be limited to just 10 copies. Interested customers must hand in a Lancia Delta Integrale 16V as a donor car and €570,000 (plus tax) to purchase it. Deliveries are scheduled for 2023 and 2024.
