TECHART does a wonderful job on the magnificent Porsche 911 Turbo Convertible
TechArt is one of the most outstanding car preparers in Europe. A true specialist in modifying Porsche models from top to bottom. Last June it introduced the exclusive TechArt GTstreet R. A monster on wheels created on the basis of the 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S. Now is the time to meet its convertible body version. We're talking about the new TechArt GTstreet R Cabrio.
Taking the 911 Turbo Cabrio as a starting point, as well as the 911 Turbo S Cabrio, the new GTstreet R Cabrio was conceived. A vehicle that aims to find a perfect balance between everyday driving and performance on racing circuits. Together, production of the coupe and cabrio versions of the new Techart GTsteet R will be limited to 87 units.
Compared to a conventional 911 Turbo Cabrio, the modifications and/or differences that the new GTstreet R Cabrio presents are numerous and all of them important. There are changes in the visual and mechanical part. The TechArt-designed body kit consists of several carbon fiber components, such as a front deflector, new aerodynamic hood, lighter fenders, rear skirt and a new rear wing.
The German preparer placed special emphasis on improving the aerodynamics. Large air intakes ensure optimized airflow to the intercoolers. To that must be added new TechArt Formula VI forged wheels, available in 20 and 21 inches. Moreover, at the rear there is a hand-welded sports exhaust system. It has a valve control to be able to modify the melody emanating from the exhaust outlets. In addition, a suspension modification allows to reduce the free height of the body in relation to the ground by up to 30 mm.
As for the interior, we are surrounded by an environment that breathes luxury and sportsmanship. We opted for a combination of Alcantara, leather and traditional fabrics, which contrast with the carbon fiber inserts. The new sports steering wheel signed by TechArt is another one of the identity keys.
As far as the mechanics are concerned, the new GTstreet R Cabrio also presents important innovations. The TechArt powerkit TA092/T1.1 kit allows you to increase the power of the 911 Turbo S Cabrio by 60 hp until reaching 710 hp. Furthermore, the maximum torque rises 100 Nm to be situated at 900 Nm.
For those who feel that it's still not enough, a second boost kit is available that improves on the previously highlighted figures. With the TA092/T2.1 kit the new GTstreet R Cabrio develops 800 hp and 950 Nm. It is capable of reaching a top speed of 350 km/h.
The new GTstreet R Cabrio is already on sale in Europe. TechArt has set an output price of 63,000 euros excluding taxes. The order book has been opened and the first units will be ready for delivery shortly.
