RENAULT/ HYVIA
Brand forms an important partnership to provide bespoke hydrogen mobility solutions
“We are proud to unveil our first hydrogen powered prototypes. HYVIA was created to provide bespoke hydrogen mobility solutions for our customers to meet the challenges of hydrogen mobility. HYVIA will implement its complete ecosystem in the territories and fleets of corporate clients, for a carbonless mobility. HYVIA is accelerating, bringing together the strengths and competences of two leaders: the Renault Group and Plug Power”, explains David Holderbach, CEO of HYVIA.
Renault Master Van H2-TECH prototype
The Master Van H2-TECH allows transport with zero CO2 emissions, greater autonomy and quick recharge.
The van will meet the needs of companies, large accounts, fleets and government agencies. Hydrogen mobility is perfectly suited to light commercial vehicles, allowing for increased range for heavier loads and intensive uses.
The Master Van H2-TECH is a large van for the transport of goods and packages, with 12 m3 of cargo volume and autonomy of up to 500 km, available in 2022.
The Master Van H2-TECH is equipped with a 30 kW fuel cell, 33 kWh battery and 6 kg hydrogen tanks (4 1.5 kg tanks).
The Master van is produced in France, at the Batilly factory. The integration between the electric and hydrogen systems is carried out by PVI, a subsidiary of the Renault Group located in Gretz-Armainvilliers. The engine is produced at the Cléon factory. The fuel cell will be assembled at the Renault factory in Flins by the end of this year. The hydrogen tanks will be supplied by Faurecia, in France.
Prototype Hydrogen Recharge Station...The HYVIA Hydrogen Recharge Station allows you to recharge quickly, in approximately 5 minutes. Ease of use is comparable to that of a vehicle equipped with a thermal engine, maximizing usage time. Available in 350 or 700 bars.
The station is simply operated:
- The hydrogen supplied can be generated on site - through water electrolysis - or supplied in bulk, through hydrogen transport tubes.
- The system compresses H2 for storage, fueling the vehicle when needed.
- Safety First: Our system is designed to comply with all regulations.
- Hydrogen Recharge Stations will be available for rental or purchase.
- The HYVIA Hydrogen Recharging Station will begin to be assembled in France by the end of this year, at the Renault factory in Flins.
HYVIA's unique and complete ecosystem...For the first time, these prototypes allow to illustrate the complete HYVIA ecosystem, including green hydrogen production (electrolyzers) and distribution (Hydrogen Recharging Stations), with a range of fuel cell-powered light commercial vehicles (van, chassis). cabin and minibus), complementing the range of battery-powered electric vehicles.
Upcoming prototype releases planned:
Master Chassis-Cab H2-TECH: a large van, with even more load space (19 m3) and a range of 250 km.
Master Citybus H2-TECH: an urban minibus that transports up to 15 people, with an autonomy of 300 km, being ideal for companies, city halls and public services.
