Valentino Rossi admitted that he doesn't feel ready to end his career

With a month to go before he said goodbye, Rossi admitted his nervousness and acknowledged that he now feels more nervous than when he announced the future on the eve of the Styrian GP.

“I panic when I think of Valencia. I don't think I'm ready for the moment when I'm no longer a MotoGP rider”, confessed Rossi in an interview with Spanish streaming service DAZN. “In Austria, after I announced it, my words didn't have much impact on me. But now it's different, because from this moment on, my life will be different”, he followed.

Still, the Italian highlighted that he never thought much about quitting, despite being a frequent subject for 15 years.

“They talk about my retirement 15 years ago, but I never really thought about it,” Rossi said. “It won't be easy, but I think it could still be a great moment,” he concluded.

MotoGP returns to the tracks on the 24th of October for the GP of the Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna, in Misano.

After 26 seasons in the championship promoted by the Spanish company Dorna, the rider from Tavullia will say goodbye to MotoGP on November 14th, at the end of this year's championship.
