Morris Garages has just unveiled a major update to its successful electric SUV

The new MG ZS EV 2022 has been unveiled and brings with it numerous new features as well as improvements. This model spearheaded MG's offensive and expansion across European territory. And after harvesting more than 15,000 units sold in its first year, it is ready to go a step further and consolidate itself as a reference in its competitive segment.

The MG ZS EV was the first electric car marketed by the British brand in continental Europe and is now undergoing a slight facelift. A mid-life upgrade that will allow this generation to tackle the rest of the business life ahead. It has been updated in terms of design, technological equipment and, what is even more relevant, autonomy has been improved.

Just take a quick look at the screenshots to find out what has changed the ZS EV. The main adjustments to the exterior design focus on the front. The headlights have been redesigned and now take on a more stylized shape. Furthermore, they use LED technology. The grid has also changed and the charging socket is located on it.

The two bumpers have been revised and slightly change their image. As for the rear, it is noteworthy that the lights debut their luminous signature. Incidentally, it is equally evident that the new ZS EV displays the revamped MG insignia both at the front and at the rear.

Regarding the interior of the new ZS EV, we are surrounded by a more digital and connected environment. Touch screen and digital instrument panel debut. Also, the HVAC module has changed. Some changes were also made to the center console. And to top it off, it incorporates the new MG iSMART connectivity system to be able to maintain some remote control of the vehicle through a mobile app.

In addition to all the novelties in terms of design and technological equipment, it is the propulsion system that we must focus all our attention on. Is that MG has improved the autonomy of the ZS EV. What's more, the line has been expanded, since, in addition to offering two levels of finish (Comfort and Luxury), it will be possible to choose between two battery versions.

The standard model is equipped with a 50.3 kWh battery that allows the new ZS EV to announce a range of 320 km according to the WLTP cycle. A step up will be the long-range model with a 70 kWh battery to achieve a range of 440 km. On the other hand, MG improved the load capacity. The Long Range version is fitted as standard with an 11 kW three-phase charger.

Regarding its arrival on the European market, the launch of the new ZS EV will take place in this same month of October. After the excellent sales figures of the version that can still be found in dealers, MG predicts that the new model will mean a new impulse for the company's expansion. It already plays an important role in the UK, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and France.

The starting price of the new MG ZS EV in Europe will start at 30,990 euros for the version with standard battery, while the long-range model will be available from 34,990 euros. The brand highlights that these prices may vary depending on the European country where it is sold.
