CORVETTE C8 RECEIVES AN IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM JAPANESE PREPARER

The Japanese are too fond of the aftermarket body kits, which are used in virtually all market segments. From tiny kei-cars to larger sedans and crossovers, they have a wide range of accessories and body packages in the rising sun market. In some cases, even offered by the brand itself, such as the Toyota TRD and Modellista catalogs.
So it is not surprising that in Japan so many craft workshops have proliferated in recent years, some of them authentic references from the global aftermarket industry, such as RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB) or Liberty Walk, in addition to counting with numerous own style chains, such as the Shakotan (lowered vehicles) and the absurdly loaded Dekotora trucks, among many others.

This case is quite special, as we are not facing the first body kit of a sports car that has just arrived on the market, but one developed for a model that has not even been presented, the future Chevrolet Corvette Stingray in its right-hand drive configuration , or RHD. Version that has already been confirmed and that we know is about to finish its development, but that has not yet been presented, much less launched commercially in Japan.
According to the latest statements by executives of the American company, the first copies of the future Chevrolet Corvette Stingray RHD will not be destined for the British or Australian markets, but Japan will be the first country to enjoy the new right-hand drive mid-engine Corvette. A version that has never been available officially until now.

It seems that the next launch of the American sports car is raising passions in this market, as there are already announcements of a new body kit for the new Corvette C8. This preparation was announced by Tra Kyoto and these renders are an advance of this new widebody modification package, which in principle will be available a few months after the launch of the new Corvette Stingray in Japan. Therefore, we can expect that the first transformed specimen will not be ready by least until mid-2021, as a minimum.
