A kind of Chinese Jeep Renegade

The Haval line in China has just been completed with the launch of the new Dagou, an interesting off-road crossover that has given a lot to talk about since its presentation a few weeks ago. In a few more months the model will also reach other regions of the globe.
The Dagou stands out mainly for its retro style design and very square lines. In a way it can remember several known models from Jeep, Mercedes-Benz, Suzuki and even Lynk & Co on the rear, although the brand announces a 100% personal and unique vehicle.



Inside, it is necessary to highlight the right presentation that knew how to adapt a retro touch in a modern and functional environment. All versions will feature a generous multimedia screen in a central position and the most equipped will also include the new Head-Up Display designed on the windshield.



With a length of 4,620 mm and a width greater than 1,850 mm, the Dagou has a very wide interior for five occupants. The excellent wheelbase of 2,738 mm allows to offer a generous space for the legs in the rear places, something extensible to the trunk that accommodates about 500 liters.
Under the hood the new Dagou hides a 1.5 Turbo engine of 169 hp in combination with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. In a few weeks, another higher performance option will come equipped with the 2.0 Turbo engine of 245 hp, coupled to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Both can count on total with reduced traction.


Instrumentation follows the current trend: Virtualized and connected

Regarding the equipment available, Haval highlights elements such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot alert, keyless access and start, automatic rear cover, intelligent Full LED headlights, Head-Up Display, thermal and ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof , leather upholstery, parking sensors, pre-collision warning, traffic sign reader, etc.



In China the price of this model starts at 125,000 yuan. It is noticeably cheaper than many rivals of foreign brands such as the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V and Nissan X-Trail, all of which are also produced locally thanks to the alliance with Chinese manufacturers.
