GOLF R-LINE 2021: More attractive in its eighth generation
After the presentation of the eighth generation of the Golf, Volkswagen did not wait more than a few months to launch the artillery, that is, the GTI, GTD and GTE versions. Now the Volkswagen Golf R-Line 2021 has just arrived, which has a specific image with sporty touches, but equips the base engine line of the compact model.
It receives a different design thanks to the larger front grille and Face Light, a luminous LED strip that runs across the front at the height of the brand's emblem and which joins the headlights, which are Performance LEDs and have light between them in curve. The press note no longer mentions exterior elements, but different side skirts are appreciated and the configurator indicates that it equips 17 inch ‘Valencia’ wheels.
The interior has an R-Line environment that is evident in the brushed stainless steel pedals, the multifunctional leather steering wheel with sports design, the bucket seats and the inserts in the instrument panel.
It has the line's Style equipment (Car2X communication technology, Travel Assist, etc.), but the provision can be complemented with two optional packages. The Confort features the Keyless Advanced keyless opening and starting system and the 480 watt Harman Kardon sound system made up of nine speakers and a subwoofer. Vision adds the Matrix IQ.Light intelligent LED headlights with Dynamic Light Assist.
Of the engines with which the Volkswagen Golf R-Line 2021 is available, the brand does not specify options, although the configurator reveals five mechanical alternatives: gasoline 1.0 TSI of 110 hp and 1.5 TSI of 130 and 150 hp, diesel 2.0 TDI of 115 hp and 150 hp mild-hybrid.
