New model of the brand will be manufactured in Brazil

DAF presented to the press this Tuesday (18th) its last launch: the new XF, which will be manufactured in Posta Grossa, in Paraná. The great promise of the company, which is just completing seven years in Brazil, is the 14% reduction in fuel consumption compared to the previous version.
The model is equipped with the highest technology, safety and sophistication, developed over four years and carefully adapted to the needs of Brazilian drivers.
“The new XF is an exclusive project for the Brazilian market. Despite being totally inspired by the award-winning European version, the truck was reinforced to withstand the country's severe operations, maintaining attributes of comfort and handling ”, says Jarno Broeze, Director of Product Development at DAF Caminhões Brasil.



Internally, the truck has tire pressure sensors, lane departure warning, battery energy level monitor, automatic braking in the event of a possible frontal collision, system to correct loss of stability, digital air conditioning, lighting in three levels, on-board computer for interaction with the driver, among other items.





A great novelty are the cabin options: Space and Super Space, the latter with 2.1 meters of internal height. The cabins have a high density foam mattress, with the option of pocket springs and bunk beds, black out curtains and anti-break-in locks.
Outside you can find new headlights with Lexan® lenses, the new parasol, and solid and efficient lighting, with optional LED lamps.



The XF has a 12.9-liter PACCAR MX 13 engine, with two engine options: 480 hp (up to 2,500 Nm from 900 rpm) and 530 hp (up to 2,600 Nm from 1,000 rpm). The new engine makes it possible to move heavier loads with less fuel consumption.
The transmission is the ZF TraXon, automated, with 12 speeds and longer ratios, increasing the speed and smoothness in gear shifting. The model follows the 6x4, 6x2 and 4x2 traction configurations, aimed at road transportation of long distance cargo.
