Rude driver receives €1,500 penalty

In Germany, being caught speeding on the motorway is much less usual than in countries like ours, as most of these highways are really fast, that is, with no speed limit. However, there are more and more places where limits have been imposed, either because they are areas with statistically more accidents, or because there are places where long lines are usually formed that can complicate the lives of those traveling at high speed.
In one of these places, a young driver(image above) at the controls of an old BMW X5 was driving at 81 km/h, although the speed limit is set at 70km/h. Under normal conditions, the fine provided for in the law would be applied, which involves the payment of € 20. It turns out that the young man decided to stretch his middle finger to the radar, until he was firm and straight. The obscene gesture was registered in the photograph taken by the radar and the authorities of the state of Oberfranken understood that only the “normal” penalty would not be a lesson.
The case went to the Kulmbach court, the nearest location to where the radar was mounted, for the judge to impose a fine more in line with the insult to the authorities. And the judge did not ask, because in addition to the inhibition of driving for a month, he imposed a fine of 1500€ on the young driver, that is, 75 times higher.
