TUNNING

MINI COOPER GP BY MANHART

If someone is looking for a sport utility vehicle that differs from everyone else, one of the ideal options offered on the market is the MINI John Cooper Works GP, that is, the bravest car ever made by the British brand. Unlike its predecessors, engineers decided to overcome the 200 hp barrier in order to offer a unique product of its kind that it lacks nothing more, or maybe it does. That's because Manhart has just presented its own view of the British model.

Under the name of GP3 F350 a modified car was born that could pass for a competition model, although it is totally legal to circulate on public roads. The German preparer decided to improve the thruster's performance, dynamic skills and aesthetics of the high-performance utility with a series of components that will not go unnoticed. In addition, it announced that it is already working on other, more aggressive packages that will arrive soon.

The great protagonist is the example that appears in the images. A MINI JCW GP that is easily recognizable due to its peculiar decoration used by the preparer, with a dark gray tone and a matte finish with a series of golden details contrasting. In addition, it now features modified wheel arches, a larger rear spoiler and 19-inch wheels. On the other hand, the reinforcement bar on the rear with the black letters of Manhart stands out on the inside. A set of digital watches and other components from Cravenspeed is also available.

Under the hood is a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that at the factory offers 306 hp and 450 Nm. Now, thanks to the presence of an optimized ECU, an Airtec intercooler and a less restrictive exhaust system, the thruster develops 350 horsepower and a maximum torque of 530 Nm. These are more than enough numbers for a car that sends all its energy to the front axle through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Last but not least, it should be noted that the German coach did not change the suspension much and only installed sport springs that reduce the height of the front by 20 mm and the rear by 15 mm. However, a set of adjustable dampers will be available later.
