NEW ACTROS WITH 530 HP ENGINE SHOWS YOUR STRENGTH

The New Actros 2653 6x4 with a 530 hp engine, the most powerful Mercedes-Benz truck on the Brazilian market, is starting to take over the country. Transportes Botuverá, from Rondonópolis (MT), is the first customer to receive this extra heavy for demonstration testing in its grain transportation operations.
A traditional Mercedes-Benz partner, Botuverá, with 40 years of experience in cargo transportation, is also testing the 510 hp Novo Actros 2651 model. “Mission given is mission accomplished”, says Roberto Leoncini, vice president of Sales and Marketing Trucks and Buses at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil. “For one year, the New Actros 2653 6x4 will be used in the operations of the carrier, in order to demonstrate its attributes of performance, economy, productivity, robustness, advanced technology, safety and comfort for the driver. "
New Actros 2653 can achieve up to 12% reduction in consumption
With the new OM 471 engine, the G291 automated transmission, the new cabin aerodynamics with deflector availability, the unprecedented mirror system with MirrorCam digital cameras, the predictive autopilot, the 6x4 version with suspension, the New Actros 2653 can reach up to 12% reduction in fuel consumption, increasing profitability for customers.
With the arrival of the New Actros to the market, Mercedes-Benz brought the unprecedented OM 471 with 530 hp and torque of 2,600 Nm, the brand's most powerful engine in Brazil.



“This new engine is another milestone for Mercedes-Benz in Brazil. We went to the customers' premises and realized that to perform some specific road operations, they needed a more powerful and economical engine. In this way, we developed the OM 471, which offers high torque with low speed, reduced fuel consumption and low operating cost during its life cycle due to long maintenance intervals ”, emphasizes Leoncini.
The Mercedes-Benz OM 471 engine has an electronic injection system CDI (Common-Rail) X-Pulse with pressure multiplier, which is characterized by a volume of 13 liters, 6 cylinders in line and double DOHC valve control (2 inlet and 2 exhaust per cylinder).

Motor brake has the highest braking power on the market
Among the advantages of the OM 471 for customers, the high-performance engine-brake system also stands out, which further expands the already high level of safety for the driver, the truck and other vehicles on the track. There are about 560 hp of braking power, the largest in the market, thus eliminating the use of retarder, and providing lower cost of acquisition, maintenance and weight.



New engine expands the Actros road portfolio
With the arrival of the 530 hp OM 471, Mercedes-Benz expanded the Actros line of extra heavy trucks. This engine equips the New Actros 2553 LS 6x2 and the 2653 LS 6x4 (horsepower with pneumatic suspension) and also the 2653 S 6x4 (horsepower with the new tuftrac metal suspension).
With these more powerful trucks, the brand increases the options of choice for customers operating in the transportation of grain, dry cargo, refrigerated cargo, fuels, chemicals, gases, container carriers and other applications.
In addition to the new engine power, the New Actros brings to the country unprecedented active safety technologies that are standard and prevent accidents and protect lives, such as Active Brake Assistants (ABA 5 - the only one on the market that identifies vehicles, pedestrians and objects ahead and brakes alone, if the driver does not take the necessary action), Ponto Cego, Fatigue and the ESP Electronic Stability Program. In addition, it also has the already known Proximity Control and Scroll Range Assistant. All these items are standard on this model.
