MERCEDES-BENZ

AMG GT BLACK SERIES P ONE EDITION

In September 2017, one of Mercedes-Benz's most ambitious projects was presented, the AMG Project One. It is a hypercar with technology inherited from Formula 1, including a 1.6-liter V6 engine that promises no less than 1,000 cv. The brand will produce only 275 units, whose date of arrival remains unknown, so that to calm its customers it prepared something very special.
In principle these 275 lucky owners were expected to receive their car at the end of 2018, something that has not happened and we are already in the middle of 2020 and it still does not arrive. Everything seems to indicate that the first units will be ready for next year, so Mercedes-Benz decided to satisfy this group of customers with a surprise: the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series P One Edition.
It is a special edition of the wildest GT ever created, that is, the Black Series that we know only a few days ago, but with a series of unique details. The German website Mercedes-Fans publicized this solution and thanks to the three images published we can get an idea of the car's design. The photos do not have a lot of quality, but they are enough to appreciate the exclusive decoration of the Affalterbach sports car, with a silver painting that will turn to black as we move towards the rear. In the middle of both colors are three-pointed stars.

The details are also highlighted in a bluish green tone, inspired by the main sponsor of the F1 team, that is, Petronas. We can find this color in the side skirts and the rim of the 10-spoke wheels, as well as inside the vehicle, either in the center console seams or in the black leather sports seats. We don't know if the mechanics will be modified, but considering that the 4.0-liter V8 engine unloads 730 hp of asphalt on the asphalt, we don't believe it is necessary.
However, although this limited edition is only available to the 275 customers who paid over 2 million euros to have the AMG Project One in their garage, Mercedes-Benz will not offer them the free car and everyone must pay 50,000 euros. by the model. A relevant value, but ridiculous compared to the hypercar. It remains to await the official announcement by the German brand.
