THE MONSTRUOSITY OF THE NEW CIVIC IN SUZUKA

The Honda Civic Type-R Limited Edition has again won the brand's most extreme Type-R qualifier to date and demonstrated this by setting a new fast lap record on the Japanese Suzuka circuit.
The model managed to complete the circuit in 2: 23.993 seconds, something that positions it as the fastest front-wheel drive car on the well-known Japanese circuit.
With a 5.8 km course, famous for its high-speed chicanes and its complicated curves, integrated in an 'eight' shape that includes a 1.2 km long straight that crosses over another previous section of the circuit, Suzuka is an icon.
The Civic Type-R Limited Edition, with its lightweight components, improvements made to the suspension and steering, and a minimalist driver-oriented interior, extended the limits of the possible for a front-wheel drive car on one of the most demanding circuits in the world.
Only 100 copies of the Type-R Limited Edition will be manufactured, each with the extraordinary performance levels and driving dynamics of the standard Type-R. The new Limited Edition version incorporates 20-inch light alloy BBS wheels with high-grip Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, components that have been specifically designed to guarantee superior performance on the circuit, but also offer exceptional performance on the road, all with a weight saving of 10 kg.
The modified shock absorbers optimize this new combination of wheels and tires, and together with the recalibrated steering, offer maximum levels of control and response. The adaptive suspension system's control software now assesses road conditions faster, which generates better damping reactions, both in response to maneuvering and in driving quality.
The new Limited Edition version retains the Type-R's powerful 2.0-liter VTEC TURBO engine. It offers a maximum power of 320 hp at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 400 Nm between 2,500 and 4,500 rpm. In addition, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.7 seconds.
