The Mercedes F1 team had already presented a new livery for its racing car a few days ago. This season, the silver arrow will appear entirely in black to show more tolerance and integration. Now the car manufacturer from Stuttgart has also presented its new safety car, which also shines in a new look.
Basically, it stays with the usual silver base color. The AMG GT R got a big rainbow glued on the bonnet and on the rear flank. Add to that the motto of the official F1 campaign against racism and discrimination "WeRaceAsOne", which can also be seen on all racing cars.

Actually, it is not an ordinary rainbow that shines on the security vehicles. These are the colors of the ten teams, which are arranged next to each other in a semicircle. The trademark is intended to demonstrate that all racing teams are united behind the initiative.

The base of the AMG GT R remains unchanged
In addition to the "WeRaceAsOne" campaign, there is also a "Drive safely" call on the bonnet. With this, Mercedes wants to remind the fans to always drive carefully and considerately. Bernd Mayländer's company car also uses the hashtag #PurposeDriven to promote FIA's commitment to safety, the environment, sustainability, gender equality and diversity.
Technically, however, everything stays the same with the AMG GT R: the front mid-engine concept with transaxle, the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, the sports suspension, the active aerodynamics and the lightweight materials should ensure that the F1 drivers in the Tow of Bernd Mayländer doesn't have to slow down too much.

The AMG Track Package with rollover protection system and the ceramic high-performance composite braking system are available as optional equipment. With a top speed of 318 km / h and 3.6 seconds for the sprint from zero to 100 km / h, the AMG GT R continues to be the fastest safety car ever.
