NEW MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS LANDS AT NURBURGRING

The Nürburgring Nordschleife race track, in the city of Nürburg, Germany, is considered a particularly challenging circuit, so much so that it was known by the name 'Green Hell'. Its spectacular curves, ups and downs connected with the wooded landscape led Formula Three champion, Jackie Stewart, to coin the track's nickname. For MINI development and test engineers, the Nordschleife is the British brand's best performance indicator.
They dedicated themselves with particular intensity to test the driving dynamics of the new MINI John Cooper Works GP - which combined consumption of 13.7 km / l and combined CO2 emissions of 167 g / km. Turn after turn, engineers adjusted the engine, chassis and aerodynamic properties until it finally became obvious that the MINI John Cooper Works GP makes the legendary 'Green Hell' a haven for racing fans.
In Brazil, MINI confirmed the launch of the MINI John Cooper Works GP on national soil. The MINI John Cooper Works GP will have 25 units in the country, with confirmed arrival for the fourth quarter of this year.
The new MINI John Cooper Works GP, produced in a limited series of 3,000 units, is the brand's fastest and most powerful model. The test team drove a prototype of this ‘extreme athlete’ on the nearly 21 km track in less than eight minutes. This surpassed the predecessor model's best time by almost half a minute. They have equipped the vehicle with all the qualities necessary to ensure that even novices in Nordschleife can experience the thrilling racing sensation in the new MINI John Cooper Works GP.
