Ergonomics is another strength of the F 850 ​​GS Adventure. This occurs when riding on the bench on quiet rides, with a passenger on the rump. Or it happens in adventures with the pilot alone, standing on the wide aluminum cranks.
The Comfort seat is soft and comfortable for both occupants and does not cause fatigue, even after many kilometers traveled.
BMW offers a special kit to reduce the height of the seat and thus favor pilots of smaller stature. Adjustable brake and clutch levers help to customize the riding position.

Cycling is exciting and brings great stability
The chassis is of the double beam type and has the engine as a structural part, increasing the torsional rigidity and robustness of the assembly. These characteristics favor stability and control in piloting.
The suspension set consists of long-stroke inverted canes (230 mm) at the front. At the rear, the aluminum scale is mono-damped and has a 215 mm stroke. The damper has hydraulic return adjustment and can be adjusted electronically to adjust the spring preload.
This configuration gives it an unmatched ability to thrill in the play, either on winding roads, with excellent stability, or on offroad paths, absorbing any impact with precision and efficiency.

21-inch rim wheels and powerful brake
The 21-inch spoke wheels at the front and 17 at the rear wear the tires without a camera and guarantee more robustness and durability. This occurs even in offroad use, allowing to face all kinds of challenges.
The brake system is powerful: two double piston calipers at the front “bite” disks 305 mm in diameter. This characteristic, associated with ABS Pro, offers excellent power and feel, both on sticky asphalt and on land.
At the rear the disc is 265 mm and the caliper is simple piston, contributing to the smooth operation of the brakes. ABS is switchable to facilitate touching the ground.

Two-cylinder, 80 hp engine
The 853 cm³ two-cylinder engine is capable of yielding 80 hp and 9 kgf.m of maximum power and torque, respectively. Enough to have the strength you need to "throw yourself" on the road or venture across rugged terrain.
Just start the engine and listen to the snoring, so you can feel surrounded by the GS aura. The two cylinders are always arranged and respond quickly to the accelerator rotation, with a low level of vibration due to the two balancing axles connected to the crankshaft.



Electronic resources are abundant and refined. With them it is possible to leave the delivery and control of power and torque the way the pilot prefers. Just select the mode according to the situation or taste. Rain, Road, Dynamic, Enduro and Enduro Pro are the options available as standard.
The F 850 ​​GS Adventure Premium has Enduro Pro mode, with automatic adjustments on acceleration, traction control and ABS for more aggressive offroad riding. This allows for insane skidding in both accelerations and braking.
All electronic adjustments are easily accessed by the controls on the handles and the interface is very simple and intuitive to reach possible adjustments.
The assisted and sliding clutch ensures softness in the throttle drive and greater stability in the reduction of abrupt gears, avoiding the blocking of the rear wheel in this situation.
