China launches intelligent electric tractor that does not require a tractor driver

Autonomous tractor
The National Institute of Innovation and Creation of Agricultural Machines (CHIAIC), of China, presented an electric tractor whose engines are driven not only by batteries, but also by hydrogen fuel cells.
More than that, the tractor does not require the tractor driver, that is, the ET504-H model is an autonomous tractor.
But as it is equipped with 5G mobile communication technology, it can also be controlled remotely.
With 4x4 traction, a central synchronous motor drives the two rear wheels, while each front wheel has its own independent motor.

Smart farming
The hydrogen fuel cell goes into operation when the vehicle is traveling or when subjected to light efforts. Under heavy load, lithium batteries automatically come into operation, providing additional power.
5G technology allows a remote operator to monitor not only the vehicle's operation in real time, but also the surrounding working environment, to verify that the tractor is not doing any damage.
During the launch, Professor Zhao Chunjiang, responsible for the autonomous tractor development team, stated that the vehicle represents a "new generation of ecological and intelligent agricultural machinery equipment to help promote the development of intelligent agriculture".
