CAYENNE GTS ARRIVES WITH A V8 ENGINE

The SUV line of the Zuffenhausen brand welcomes its two new members. The new Porsche Cayenne GTS and Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupe have just been unveiled. The luxury crossover and its coupe body version add to its offer the interesting GTS version, which offers a plus of dynamism and above all exclusivity. What's more relevant, compared to the previous Cayenne GTS, there are great news.

Firstly, taking a look at the exterior and interior design, the GTS versions differ from a conventional Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe in that both models come standard with the Sport Design package, which adds numerous details in black. The new Cayenne GTS also feature 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels with a glossy black finish.

Also noteworthy are LED headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) and darkened taillights. The front air intakes are painted black as are the side window frames and the sports exhaust system outlets.
Regarding the interior of the new Cayenne GTS, we are surrounded by an environment that breathes luxury, comfort, sportiness and exclusivity. The first quality materials, such as Alcantara and dark polished aluminum are present. The GTS interior package offers several customization options, such as additional details in carmine red and crayon for elements such as upholstery seams. We cannot ignore the standard sports seats, which have electrical regulation.

On the other hand, and as expected, the chassis of the new Cayenne GTS has a specific adjustment. The steel spring suspension included as standard, makes it possible to reduce the height of the vehicle by 20 millimeters and incorporates the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system, which actively controls damping stiffness.

The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) system is also standard. To control this monster on wheels, cast brake discs and large red calipers were chosen.
Optionally, the adjustment can be completed with the Porsche Surface Coated Brake (PSCB) brake system with tungsten carbide coated discs and the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB). Three-chamber air suspension is also optional.
Undoubtedly the big news that the new Cayenne GTS brings with it is that Porsche decided to put aside the 3.6-liter V6 biturbo engine used by the previous model. Under the hood we now find a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo petrol engine that develops a power of 460 hp and 620 Nm of maximum torque. In relation to the previous Cayenne GTS, we have an increase in power of 20 hp and 20 Nm.
With the Sport Chrono package, both the Cayenne GTS and the Cayenne GTS Coupe are able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 270 km / h. The V8 engine is coupled to an 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission with a perfect fit.
