911 ‘ANGLET COMMISSION’ BY SINGER

When we speak of Singer Vehicle Design we refer to a specialist who has mastered the restoration technique of the Porsche 911 like few others, so that each and every one of its finished projects is worth admiring. Each time surprises us with new creations based on the original 'nineteen', but with modern technology, and the last creation to leave its facilities in Los Angeles, California, is the so-called Anglet Commission.
On this occasion it is a vehicle very similar to the latter, although the decoration changes both outside and inside, without forgetting the mechanical part, as this unit does not equip the same engine used in the most recent SVD creations.

The Anglet Commission is presented in a dark purple color that Singer calls 'Aubergine Light Pearl'. The customer also chose to mount the fuel tank under the front hood, with the characteristic cap exposed in the center of the hood. When you lift it, there is a striking navy blue leather padded with seams in a white tone. Around the body there are nickel adornments and some brass surfaces on the engine cover. The wheels, for their part, feature a five-spoke design in the Fuchs style.

Inside, the same blue leather mentioned above stands out. The design of the Singer fabric and the brass details appear in the center of the adjustable front seats in eight positions. To add a touch of contrast, there are white seams throughout the cabin.
The dark color scheme of the interior is much more subtle than that used in other company projects, in addition to providing a more elegant touch. And we cannot forget the rear seats, as they have cushions, although space is very limited.

The legendary boxer of nature aspiration

The person in charge of propelling this 911 could be none other than a 6-cylinder boxer engine air-cooled and naturally aspirated. We do not know its numbers, but we know that its displacement has been reduced in relation to the engine used in other Singer projects, that is, it has gone from 4.0 to 3.8 liters, but continues to maintain full traction and the transmission is a six-speed manual. Perhaps its owner does not seek performance so much, but enjoy his vehicle with this safety plus that the two driving axles give.
