MERCEDES-BENZ

NEW E63 2021 LINE: NEW IMAGE AND MORE TECHNOLOGY

After the recent renewal of the Mercedes-Benz E Class, now is the time to target the sporting versions signed by AMG which, once again, will once again be at the top of the line of this model. The new Mercedes-AMG E 63 Sedan and Mercedes-AMG E 63 Estate have been officially unveiled and arrive loaded with important new features.
The new Mercedes-AMG E 63 2021 models are quickly recognized as they have several identifying features that allow it to differentiate itself, in this case, from a conventional Mercedes-Benz E Class Sedan or E Class Estate. Just take a look at the images.

The front now presents a new configuration. The larger central air intake, and of course, the specific AMG grid with 12 vertical blades, stands out. To this we must add Multibeam headlights with integral LED technology. On the other hand, the front skirt in Jet-Wing design is new and has three large functional air intakes. Nor should we ignore the front splitter.
On the side there are also news. Especially we must note the new 19-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with an optimized aerodynamic design and with a finish available in matte black or high-gloss gray. For its part, the S version puts on new 20-inch alloy wheels and 5 double spokes.

At the rear are new flashlights, flatter and divided into two parts. In the case of the Estate body version, we have a strip that extends to the side ends of the lanterns. The rear skirt debuts configuration and accentuates the width of the sedan and van. The four exits from the sports exhaust system are another of the distinctive features of the rear zone.

New body colors also arrive: metallic graphite gray, metallic high-tech silver and brilliant magnum blue. Following with the customization options, it is also worth noting that the AMG Night package is optionally available to add new specific elements. In this case, the exterior mirror frames, the window frames and the adornment elements of the front and rear skirts show a high-gloss black finish. You can also order the AMG grid in dark design. In addition, it is also possible to choose the outer carbon fiber packages AMG I and AMG II, available exclusively for the 63 models.

Regarding the interior, more news comes up. The AMG seats are upholstered in Nappa leather (you can also choose different types of leather). Optionally there are AMG Performance seats with integrated head restraints and improved side support. In addition, a new upholstery option, specific to AMG, was added: black / gray titanium pearl nappa with contrasting yellow stitching.

One of the main innovations is the new AMG Performance steering wheel with a double-spoke design and level tactile surfaces for handling. It can be upholstered in leather, in DYNAMIC microfiber or in a combination of leather and DYNAMIC microfiber. If the customer wishes, he can still incorporate the heating function. Behind the steering wheel rim, on the left and right, are the aluminum paddle shifts for gear changes.

Among the technological equipment, without a doubt, the MBUX infotainment system stands out. In the basic model it is composed of two 10.25-inch diagonal screens, while the S model is equipped with 12.25-inch screens as standard. The digital instrument panel offers three specific AMG display styles: Modern Classic, Sport and Supersport.

As for the mechanics, under the hood is a 4.0-liter AMG biturbo gasoline engine that in the basic model delivers a power of 571 hp and 750 Nm of maximum torque. For its part, the S version raises that figure to 612 hp and 850 Nm. The engine is coupled to a nine-speed SPEEDSHIFT MCT AMG automatic transmission and an AMG Performance 4MATIC + all-wheel drive system with 'Drift Mode'.
To fully squeeze the capabilities of this sports model, the driver will have at his disposal a selector with up to six driving modes: Slippery, Comfort, Sport, Sport +, Individual and RACE (equipped as standard in the S version). It is also worth noting that a self-locking differential with electronic regulation on the rear axle is fitted as standard.
