Almost a year ago, Mercedes-AMG was saying the last goodbye to its mythical V12 6.0 biturbo engine with a special edition for the S Class called Mercedes-AMG S 65 Final Edition. There were 130 units that for the last time equipped under the hood an engine that will not be available in a Mercedes-Benz again.
Or at least that was what we thought, because this very special engine was aimed at one last dance and, moreover, in an even more exclusive and luxurious way in the form of a Maybach. It is the Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Night Edition and will be a special edition of only 15 copies exclusive to the United States.
If just being the last chance to show a V12 under the hood and being part of such a limited series doesn’t seem like something so special, imagine a Mercedes-Benz S Class that combines the best of two worlds, two different philosophies within Mercedes-Benz, and in essence its two most special and exclusive divisions. This Mercedes-Benz combines the performance of the AMG 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 engine with 630 hp and 1,000 Nm of maximum torque (the same as the S 65), with which it is capable of reaching 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds and 250 km / h top speed, with all the luxury and comfort of Maybach models.



This Maybach S 650 Night Edition already breathes luxury from the outside, with an elegant finish in Obsidian Black, a grid with vertical blades and without the three-pointed star emblem that appears floating over the hood, also accompanied by other extra details like sportier wheels in silver gray finish and a carbon fiber spoiler at the rear.



But it is clear that what is truly important is in the interior, where there is no shortage of wood and leather, top quality benches with massage, heating and ventilation functions, and even reclining and electrically operated foot rests in places. rear, as well as an air suspension to offer maximum comfort on board.
