New JAC pickup has 9 seats with a bizarre look and Mercedes Sprinter clone

Expanding its line of commercials in Latin America, JAC launched the new Sunray Pick-up with triple cab and exotic look. The model is not quoted for Brazil for now, since the Chinese brand is investing heavily in electric models at the moment.
The JAC Sunray Pick-up is different from a traditional pickup. It is based on a large van of the Chinese brand, which in itself makes its shape exotic. Add that to the fact that it has a triple cabin with space for nine passengers.
It is much larger than the average pickup trucks sold in Brazil. It is 6.00 m long, 2.08 m wide and 2.65 m high. The load capacity is the same as the van version, being able to carry up to 1.8 tons.
The bucket is low and has a metal cover, being flanked by metal bars at the top to tie cargo. There is also a metallic cover on the rear window and a ladder to access the roof, where there is another support for loading.
The Sunray Pick-Up features a 2.7 hp four-cylinder turbo diesel engine with 147 hp and 36.2 kgfm of torque. According to JAC, consumption is 12.4 km / l in a mixed urban and road cycle. The transmission is a six-speed manual.
