FIAT

E-DUCATO: ELECTRIC AND WITH MORE THAN 300 KM OF AUTONOMY

In the last few months we have experienced a strong advance in electrification in the commercial vehicle segment and zero emissions vans promise to make a lot of noise in the coming years.
After the news presented by the PSA Group, now it is the turn of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which presented a new feature of Fiat in this field. This is the new Fiat E-Ducato, the purely electric version of the Italian van, which will be ready to arrive in the second half of this year 2020.
This new Fiat electric proposal will join the Ducato's methane version, within the Italian brand's alternative fuel offering in commercial vehicles.

The new Fiat E-Ducato is equipped with an electric motor of 122 hp and 280 Nm of maximum torque. It will be available with two different battery alternatives, one intended to be used in urban environments, which will have 200 kilometers of autonomy and the other with greater power that will allow an autonomy close to 330 kilometers.

The maximum speed of the Fiat E-Ducato will be limited to 100 km / h, in order to optimize the use of energy and thereby improve its autonomy.
The electric version of the Fiat Ducato can be configured with several body options, with a load volume that will oscillate between 10 and 17 m3, offering a payload capacity of up to 1,950 kg, with no differences in relation to the versions with thermal engine.

Its presentation will be virtual, as it has been happening since the arrival of the COVID-19, although for now the manufacturer has not revealed what will be the prices of the new Fiat E-Ducato, the expected electric version of the Italian commercial.
