SKODA

Czechs like a great adventure

The debut of the new Skoda Kamiq Scoutline was scheduled for the last month of March, more specifically for the Geneva Motor Show. As we know, this event was canceled due to the situation generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Skoda has decided to digitally present all the details of the most adventurous version that can be found on the Skoda Kamiq line.
Skoda gives its interesting B-segment SUV a rougher and more capable appearance away from the asphalt of the big city. The Scoutline version quickly differs from the rest of the finishes that make up the offer of this model. It shows a matte black coating on the wheel arches and silver elements on the body. The rear mirror frames and roof bars are also silver in color. We must not forget the Scoutline emblems located on the front fenders.

Standard account with 17-inch alloy wheels. As an option, you can opt for other 18 inches. It also equips Full LED headlights. This version is offered in a selection of 12 different colors: three solid and nine metallic finishes. For the creation of the new Kamiq Scoutline, the Ambition finish level was taken as a starting point, so that the standard equipment is quite complete.

With regard to the interior of the new Kamiq Scoutline, we are surrounded by an environment that breathes remarkable quality and draws attention to the complete equipment. The air vents and panel bezels are offered in a chrome finish and the pedal covers show an aspect similar to aluminum. The front seats have special upholstery and both the steering wheel and the hand brake lever and the gearshift grip are leather.

Regarding the mechanics, the more adventurous version of the Skoda Kamiq will be available along with a selection of petrol and diesel mechanics. Unfortunately, the TGI engine adapted to the use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) will be left out. In Europe, those interested in purchasing a Kamiq Scoutline will be able to choose between a total of three engines, two petrol and one diesel.
The gasoline offer includes a 1.0-liter TSI 115 hp engine, as well as a 1.5-liter TSI engine with 150 hp. The first has a DSG automatic transmission with double clutch and seven speeds, while the most powerful is offered both with a six-speed manual transmission and with the aforementioned DSG automatic transmission.
And for those European drivers who continue to bet on diesel, there is a 1.6-liter TDI 115 hp engine also with DSG automatic transmission. All versions have a front-wheel drive system.
The commercial launch of the new Skoda Kamiq Scoutline in Europe will take place at the beginning of July 2020. Prices will be provided closer to this date.
