Alex Marquez takes victory over his brother Marc at Virtual MotoGP in Misano

Alex Marquez overcame his brother Marc on the last lap of the VirtualMotoGP at Misano, winning the race, while the hero of the house, Valentino Rossi managed to reach the podium.
After starting second, Alex was able to quickly escape ahead of poleman Fabio Quartararo, before falling to third.
The defending world champion left Alex behind soon after, deciding to focus on scoring an inaugural podium, instead of fighting and risking falling.
Alex eventually managed to recover when Quartararo escaped on turn 8, with the Frenchman falling to second as a result.
The newly hired Yamaha factory rider made an aggressive move when the pair came out of turn 5, causing them to collide, allowing Marc to take the lead.
The pair chased Marc for the remaining laps, with all three within a second, with only a few corners remaining in the competition.
Quartararo braked very late at tight turn 14, and ended up falling, leaving the fight for victory between the Marquez brothers.
It looked like Marc could potentially get a debut victory at VirtualMotoGP, but Alex didn't let that happen, throwing his Honda inside the final corner, leaving Marc out and costing him speed in the resumption, allowing Alex to receive the checkered flag first by just 0.725s of advantage.
Meanwhile, Rossi took the first podium when he passed Quartararo due to his fall, crossing the line just a few tenths away from Marc Marquez.
