SERIES 6 GRAN TURISMO 2021: RENOVATED AND WITH MORE TECHNOLOGY

BMW has presented a wave of renovations, two of them go hand in hand: the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo 2021 receives innovations similar to those of the BMW 5 Series in all areas, from the aesthetic to a mechanical line that now has a Mild Hybrid system in all its versions.
The front is the one that receives most of the changes, now displaying a larger grille with the larger double rim, more stylized headlights, which are standard full-LED, rely on matrix technology and are adaptive (optionally be able to be laser), plus a revised bumper with new air intakes.

On the side were incorporated only new designs of wheels ranging from 18 to 20 inches and on the rear the only change is that the double trapezoidal exhaust outlet is standard in all versions.

In the cabin the modifications are minor, with minor updates in the frames, new materials and ambient lighting, being the most prominent points the Digital Live Cockpit Professional control panel of 12.3 inches, which is now standard in all finishes, and the infotainment system that has a touch screen of identical dimensions.

The entire engine line of the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo now features Mild Hybrid technology with a 48 volt electrical system and an 11 hp starter-generator.
In the diesel line arise the 620d of 190 hp and 400 Nm of torque, the 630d (also available with traction xDrive) of 286 hp and 650 Nm of torque, and the 640d xDrive, which develops 370 hp and 700 Nm of maximum torque. Regarding the gasoline line, the Access is the 630i of 258 hp and above is the 640i (also available with the xDrive) of 333 hp and 450 Nm.

They all use the same eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission and feature as standard the pneumatic rear suspension, the adaptive optional, as well as the directional rear axle.
With regard to technology, the Driving Assistant and its Professional version are optionally available, which include elements such as the lane keeping system with return function, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking in the city, etc. In addition, the parking assistant adds the reverse gear help and the BMW Drive Recorder can record up to 40 seconds of video around the car.
It is expected that the first deliveries of the updated BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo 2021 will take place throughout the European summer, but the German brand has not yet revealed what its prices will be.
